Okay so new idea on losing weight and I hope this is going to last. I have discovered Low Carb which is one of the simplest plans I found so far. See whenever I decide I want to lose weight I do a bunch a research and then follow to a T until something in my life stresses me out, and unfortunately the food is what stresses me out. Most of the reason I get stressed is figuring out the correct amount of protein, fats, carbs I guess its called Macros (as you can tell I am not familiar with any of this stuff), but basically the weight was not coming off and I was super confused about everything. I know that my biggest problem was over eating carbs you know that saying ‘give me and inch and I’ll take a mile’ that is what I was doing with carbs. I would try to stick with healthy options but I would eat high carb fruits, and eat rice or oats with that. I would also lack in the vegetable options because who really wants to eat veggies.
I wanted to say I started this “diet” on Sunday June 10th and my starting weight was 245 lbs. The date today is June 15th and my weight is 239 lbs. I don’t want to keep loosing weight this quickly because I know it can be risky with my health and it could also take away my muscle (the little I have anyway). With that thought I know I will see quick results with such a change in my diet, because I am not eating as many calories, I can’t tell you the amount of calories I am eating because I don’t know, I eat when I am hungry I don’t want to over stress by counting anything. I can say I feel fuller for longer so I don’t snack as much and I have been eating quite a bit of veggies. I have listed below what I eat and my meals for the most part. It is limited due to me just learning out to do this and I don’t want to overwhelm myself, plus I really like the food. So this is what I have been eating:
what I have been taking out of my daily life:
Any fruit besides Berry’s
All Bread/carbs (tortillas, chips, potatoes, et….)
fast food (this you just have to order correctly I choose not to eat out very much because I am just getting started and don’t want to screw up)
What I have started to incorporate:
Veggies
lots of salads
Healthy fats
Avocado, almonds, coconut oil, real butter
Protein:
chicken, eggs, steak, hamburger, bacon
Condiments:
Salsa, Hot wing sause, A1, ranch (any other salad dressing but I lonely really like ranch, or balsamic)
This is what My day has been looking like (again I have just started this so it is limited option but I have enjoyed every meal:
Breakfast:
Option 1. Omelet with bacon, and zucchini, and mushrooms- cooked in the bacon grease
The omelet is put in a Large bowel with Lettuce, Spinach, cucumber and topped with salsa
Option 2. 4 whole strawberry, a mix of berry’s raspberry/blueberry/blackberry, sliced mozerlla cheese, and 1oz of almonds
Lunch:
Option 1. Sometimes I am not hungry so I will just snack on some berry’s or cheese and not eat a full meal
Option 2. 2 Hard boiled eggs, berry mix, strawberry
Option 3. Salad I will have a protein and then a big bowl of veggies
Dinner:
Option 1. salad: Protein (salmon, chicken, stake, hamburger) then load it with veggies topped with salsa, or ranch depending on meat choice
Option2. Same Protein as listed above but I will grill it or cook it in coconut oil and have a veggie on the side zucchini is my favorite right now
I am trying to also incorporate intermittent fasting (IF) into my day and that is basically eating 2 meals a day which normally I will just make my breakfast a little later in the day like 11:30 and skip lunch. If I get hungry between lunch and dinner I will snack on string cheese, berry’s, or celery depending on what sounds good. Your dinner will have to be within 8 hours of when you had your first meal of the day so lets say I eat breakfast (or lunch) at 12 I would need to eat my dinner by 8 o’clock but then I ‘fast’ until 12 O’clock the next day. I watch lots of you tube videos to learn about this again not an expert. I recommend doing what works for you once I start incorporating a work out routine I might change stuff up depending on how I feel during my workout (if I get dizzy, or tired and can’t finish). I will keep you updated.
